Yongheng Wu | Founder
I’m Yongheng Wu, the founder of BougeUp Summer Camp. I hold a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Vanier College and am currently studying Physical and Health Education at McGill University. What I enjoy most about working with children is seeing the world through their lenses, their curiosity, creativity, and excitement for movement. I am also a snowboard coach and a personal trainer, and these experiences allow me to help kids build confidence, coordination, and a lifelong enjoyment of being active. BougeUp was created to combine my passion for education and sport, and to provide a space where kids with different levels can explore different physical activities.
Khalid| Guest Coach
I’m Khalid, a 2nd Dan black belt in Shotokan Karate, NCCP-trained coach, McGill graduate in Physiology and Neuroscience, and current Exercise Science student. I have been practicing karate since the age of 6 and competing nationally and internationally, representing Quebec and Canada, for nearly 10 years. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience working with children, and I genuinely enjoy their curiosity, energy, and enthusiasm for learning.
As a member of the BougeUp team, I serve as a karate and strength & conditioning coach, using my experience to help children develop their skills and confidence. I look forward to providing a safe, positive environment where they can have fun, stay active, and discover something new!
Amilion| Guest Coach
I am an enthusiastic camp coach currently working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Physical and Health Education at McGill University. I have experience as an instructor for the First Tee Golf Workshop and have led activities for children in parks, schools, and sports programs. This work has helped me build strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. I enjoy creating welcoming environments where campers feel motivated to stay active, gain confidence, and have fun.
Being bilingual in French and English, along with my coaching experience, event planning, and group management, helps me connect with campers from different backgrounds while being a positive role model and mentor.
